The Gentlemen has officially been renewed for a third season by Netflix. The new season will consist of eight episodes and is already in pre-production, with filming set to begin soon. So far, no scripts have been completed, and no new cast members have been confirmed.

Created by Guy Ritchie, the series will return with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass. Ritchie will also direct the third season and share writing duties with Matthew Read. Rumors that Meghan Markle could appear have not been confirmed.

“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences have grown heavier. A third season felt inevitable, and I’m eager to push its limits even further,” Ritchie said.

The renewal was announced alongside the release of the second season’s first full trailer, which premieres on 3 September.

In the new season, Eddie and Susie expand their operations internationally and travel to lakeside villas in Italy. The expansion puts the team in increasingly dangerous situations, while Eddie’s rise through the criminal underworld brings him closer to entering the British aristocracy.

Hugh Bonneville joins the cast as a new aristocrat connected to Eddie’s path. In the trailer, the character reveals greater ambitions, saying he wants to reclaim the full extent of his estate, which once stretched as far as the eye could see. American billionaire Stanley Johnston, played by Giancarlo Esposito, also encourages Eddie to forge his own destiny.

Ray Winstone returns as Bobby, Susie’s father, while Harry Goodwins reprises his role as Jack, her brother. Joely Richardson, Daniel Ings, Jasmine Blackborow and Vinnie Jones are also returning, along with Michael Vu, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley and Esposito.

Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr. and Maya Jama join the cast for the second season. The series is produced by Moonage Pictures for Netflix and Miramax TV.
