Jacob Elordi is in talks to join the cast of Scapegoat, the upcoming film from Ari Aster, produced by A24. Scarlett Johansson is already attached to star in the project, whose plot has not yet been officially revealed.

The production is keeping its logline under wraps, but several possibilities surrounding the story have begun to circulate. One describes a doctor who performs surgery on an internet celebrity. The film will be produced by Lars Knudsen, who is working on it through Square Peg, the company associated with Aster.

For Elordi, the potential role would extend a notable period in his film career. The Australian actor has appeared in productions such as Saltburn and Priscilla, as well as being part of the cast of Euphoria. Scarlett Johansson, meanwhile, currently leads the announced cast, while Elordi’s involvement remains contingent on the negotiations being completed.
