The third season of House of the Dragon comes to an end this Sunday, August 9. The eighth episode will air at 10 p.m. Brasília time on HBO and be made available simultaneously on HBO Max.With eight episodes, the series' new season is heading toward a decisive confrontation in the Dance of the Dragons. The preview of the finale indicates that the struggle for the Iron Throne will bring dragons and armies face to face in a battle capable of changing the course of the main characters.The teaser highlights the return of Aegon II and Sunfyre. Considered dead since the Battle of Rook's Rest, the dragon reappears to protect his rider and gives the Greens an important piece in the conflict.While Rhaenyra tries to maintain control of King's Landing, Daemon gathers forces in the Riverlands and encourages his wife to demonstrate her power. The footage also shows the prince and Caraxes heading toward the Battle of Tumbleton, in a change to the character's involvement compared to the events of Fire & Blood.On the other side, Daeron says he does not know all of Ormund Hightower's plans, as he tries to convince Ulf the White to abandon Rhaenyra in exchange for titles and lands. Helaena also confronts Rhaenyra, while Corlys Velaryon warns of the paths opened by the new clash.In the final moments of the preview, Rhaenyra declares that the battle will eliminate any doubt about which side has the support of the gods. The episode should close out the season with one of the biggest confrontations of the war and prepare the ground for the show's final season.The series has already been renewed for a fourth and final season.
