Heather Morris will reprise her role as Brittany S. Pierce in the Glee reboot. The actress confirmed her return on social media after the reboot was announced on Wednesday (21). Brittany, who began the series as a McKinley High cheerleader, will return to the world of the show.Morris broke the news with a joke, saying Brittany had spent all these years lost in the sewers before assuring fans that she is alive, well and back for more adventures. The joke echoed the absurd humor that defined the character throughout the series.Brittany became a bigger part of Glee thanks to her unexpected remarks and grew into a fan favorite. Her story was also closely tied to her romance with Santana Lopez, played by Naya Rivera. Morris’s return brings back a character who started out among the school’s cheerleaders and went on to play a larger role in the story.So far, Heather Morris and Lea Michele are the only original cast members announced for the reboot. Michele played Rachel Berry in the series.
