This card, Raise the Palisade, would be beneficial in a tribal-themed deck that focuses on a specific creature type, such as Merfolk, Elves, or Goblins, as it can effectively clear the board of non-tribal creatures. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering play, a more efficient option would be Cyclonic Rift, which not only returns all nonland permanents to their owners' hands but can also be overloaded for just one more mana. Raise the Palisade may not see much play in competitive formats due to its higher cost and the existence of stronger alternatives like Cyclonic Rift.
