A deck that heavily relies on casting powerful creature spells would benefit from including Gaea's Herald, as it ensures that those spells cannot be countered by the opponent. However, in competitive Magic: The Gathering play, there are often better options available such as Cavern of Souls, which not only prevents creature spells from being countered but also helps cast them more easily by providing any color of mana. Gaea's Herald could still see play in specific creature-heavy strategies or casual formats where countering spells is a prevalent threat.
