Bad Bunny won his first Emmys for his Super Bowl LX halftime performance and set a new record for the event. The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny won all seven categories in which it was nominated on the first night of the awards.

The 13-minute performance won Outstanding Variety Special (Live), becoming only the second Super Bowl halftime show to receive the top program award. It was also the first Spanish-language production to win in the category.

Bad Bunny's show is now the most decorated Super Bowl production in Emmy history. The other wins came in directing, music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction and camera work. The performance brought together references to Puerto Rico and Latin music, along with appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.

When he took the Super Bowl stage, Bad Bunny summed up his message in one sentence:

“The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

The night extended a remarkable run for the Puerto Rican artist. Seven months earlier, the album Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the first Spanish-language work to win the Grammy for Album of the Year. Bad Bunny also won for another production: the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, which he hosted, took home the Emmy for Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program.

Other music stars also posted notable results. Sabrina Carpenter received her first Emmy as an executive producer and performer on The Muppet Show, a special that won four awards, including Outstanding Pre-Recorded Variety Special. Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, meanwhile, did not win in any of the five categories in which it competed on the first night.

Bad Bunny is set to star in Porto Rico, the upcoming film from Puerto Rican artist Residente.
