Introduction

Now that Act 3 is over, we can definitely say Arcane once again gave us exciting moments and expanded this universe in an impressive way, despite what critics say. However, can we tell where the show is going from the new reveals and Easter eggs?

You might have missed some crucial details if you blinked even once. Let's unravel everything that happened and see what may be coming!

More Links and Hidden Surprises

Besides many breathtaking moments, Arcane is full of references to the League of Legends universe. From iconic weapons to characters that are still yet to come, each detail in this show is a hidden treasure for anyone who's paying attention.

However, it is far from perfect. Its ending left us many hooks for other shows, and also destroyed the canon universe we were used to, particularly the backstories of many characters that are relevant for Piltover.

So, today, let's dive in a little deeper. In this article, we'll discuss the future of Arcane and explore a few forgotten characters that might get more space next time.

Heimerdinger and His Immortality

Heimerdinger, our favorite Yordle, made an important sacrifice at the end of Arcane's season 2. He basically gave up his physical body to help Ekko with his Z-Drive and safely get him back in the right timeline. Don't worry: Yordles are immortal, so he hasn't been vaporized. He just returned to Bandle City.

Why does this matter?

This was not only a confirmation that Yordles are magical and immortal, but a suggestion that we might explore Bandle City in the future. Who knows, maybe we see more of them in future stories, like Teemo, or Lulu. Will Teemo finally be more than just an Easter egg?

The Three-Eyed Raven - Swain is Coming

I talked about him again and again, and, ultimately, I was rewarded. That sinister three-eyed raven that shows up at the end of the show? Yeah, it's no coincidence. That's Raum, the Demon of Secrets, who is directly tied to Swain. Its presence suggests Noxus will play a much bigger role in the future.

Why is the Three-Eyed Raven relevant?

If Raum is there, you can prepare yourself for large-scale political plots and maneuvers. With Raum's power, Swain can see the past, present, and the future. He is Noxus' biggest political leader, and uses information to become more and more powerful as he conquers Runeterra.

Blitzcrank Was Forgotten

Blitzcrank might have been left out this season, but he can still show up in another season or even another League of Legends show, and his lore might be completely altered. It seems like this robot won't get his moment to shine any time soon, particularly now that his original creator, Viktor, left this reality.

What can we expect?

I'd love to see our dear steam golem soon, but, unfortunately, we can't expect much in this case. Who knows? Maybe he'll exist in one of Runeterra's many parallel universes…

Warwick: Is He Vander or a Beast?

Warwick's internal conflict is still one of the most intriguing arcs in all of Arcane, though it truly shone in Act 3. Vander and Warwick are stuck inside the same body, and, eventually, one of them will prevail. Keep in mind that, though he was dominated by Viktor, Warwick wasn't confirmed dead at the end of Season 2, and, if he returns, his mental state should be even more fragmented.

How will this impact everything else?

Either as a human or a full-on beast, Warwick will be a central figure in the future. The tension between what's left of Vander and Warwick's wild side might become one of the most exciting moments in the show. My bet is that he'll show up on another show, and much wilder this time.

Renata Glasc and the Future of Zaun

Renata Glasc, famously known for her influence on Zaun in the League of Legends universe, isn't even mentioned in Arcane. Her current lore states that Renata controls Chemtech and is the wealthiest chem-baron. She might have not shown up in Arcane, but her absence is easily justified: she might not have taken over yet. Considering everything that happened so far, she can take over Zaun now precisely because of the power vacuum left by the civil war and the absence of Silco, Vander, and Jinx (yeah, if there is no body, we can't confirm her death).

Why is she important?

As a chem business magnate, Renata can bring more conflict and take on a role similar to Silco's. The difference is that Renata only cares about profit. If Piltover shows up again, you can be sure Renata will show up too.

Jayce and Viktor

After their bromance moment, they were both sent to another reality. What they'll do there is a complete mystery. They might spend eternity playing cards or darts. However, one thing is certain: when Runeterra is in danger and things escalate, you can be sure Riot will bring these two back.

Why is this relevant?

"Cosmic" characters are difficult to work with because of their high power-level, and they're often problems for storylines. Riot decided to shelve them both for now, and get them out when they need to.

Final Words

Arcane's second season left fans with numerous questions and expectations for the future. With so many loose ends, this show seems to have just scratched the surface of all of Runeterra's potential.

The next season will most likely delve even deeper into different conflicts and characters, and we barely can't wait to see how it will all play out.
