Introduction

The second season of Arcane continues to impress, bringing not only a story full of tension and drama, but also countless Easter eggs connecting the series to the vast universe of League of Legends. If you blinked, you might have missed some of the best references. Let’s check them out!

PS: This article contains spoilers.

Easter Eggs from Act 2

The Scuttle Crab in Jinx’s Hideout

One of the most curious moments occurs when we see Jinx recreating a gladiator fight between two scuttle crabs in her hideout. Though smaller than those found on Summoner’s Rift, this reference is a treat for fans of the game.

Although the Easter egg doesn’t significantly impact the plot, it serves as a fun reminder of League of Legends matches.

Vander’s Belongings

During an emotional scene where Jinx and Vi explore Vander’s old room in the tunnels, we see his gloves and a jacket with the initials “V” and “S,” representing Vander and Silco. These small details help keep the memory alive that both had their motivations and lives before Arcane.

Warwick’s W Reference

Act 2 brought a subtle representation of Warwick’s ability kit, particularly his W, Blood Hunt. In one of the scenes, we see Warwick in a frenzied state, hunting wounded characters while his vision turns red—a clear nod to the effect of his ability in the game.

Jinx’s Electric Pistol

Jinx’s iconic weapon, known as the Zapper, finally makes its debut in the series. In Act 2, we see the pistol in its final blue form, just as it appears in the game. This detail pleased many fans and indicates that the character is becoming increasingly similar to her League of Legends version.

What to Expect for Act 3?

Viktor’s Future

Viktor is increasingly inclined to follow the path of the Glorious Evolution, leaving his humanity behind. His near-death experience seems to have been the catalyst for this transformation, represented by his monologue. In Act 3, we can expect a much more aggressive approach, with Viktor possibly converting citizens against their will, erasing their emotions, and further distancing himself from his old friendship with Jayce.

Jayce, the Defender of Tomorrow

Jayce, as always, remains a complicated character. While his actions were well-intentioned, he inadvertently worsened the situation by influencing Viktor to follow a darker path. In Act 3, Jayce’s role as the “Defender of Tomorrow” will be at stake, and only time will tell if his choices were the right ones.

Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn

The trio of Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn is about to face new challenges, especially with the threat of Noxus looming. It’s expected that the three characters will have to defend Piltover from a possible invasion. Additionally, Jinx’s mental state continues to deteriorate, and losing her newfound sister could be the breaking point for the character.

Ekko and Heimerdinger

Unfortunately, Ekko and Heimerdinger were sidelined in Act 2, but we hope to see them return in Act 3, with the development of the time-rewinding technology that Ekko showcases in the game.

Warwick

At the end of Act 2, we see that Warwick is likely in terrible condition after being targeted by the Zapper. However, it’s unlikely that Singed will abandon him. The scientist has already mentioned that “the mutation must live” and that Warwick/Vander possesses an immense will to survive.

Our prediction is that Singed will replace Warwick’s head with a wolf’s, thus completing the character’s classic look in the game.

Singed

Singed was the catalyst for many events in Act 2, either directly or indirectly. For Act 3, we believe the scientist might try to reverse death using Viktor’s powers, and in our boldest prediction, use his technology to create Orianna.

The Message of the Series

One of Caitlyn’s lines stuck with me while watching: “Why is peace always the justification for violence?” This question deeply resonates with Arcane’s central message. Time and again, we see characters using peace as an excuse to commit atrocities: “For the city,” “For Piltover,” “For Zaun,” “For the world,” “For my family.” The pattern repeats itself constantly. Ambessa, for example, incites internal conflict in pursuit of Hextech to protect her family. In the first season, we saw Silco willing to destroy everything to free Zaun.

And now, the cycle continues. Jayce “sacrifices” his old friend Viktor in an attempt to prevent a magical catastrophe, again in the name of peace. Viktor, in turn, already shows signs that his methods will change drastically in Act 3. The series shows us that the pursuit of peace can, ironically, be the seed of a new war.

Conclusion

Act 2 of Arcane’s second season brought numerous references and developments that left fans excited and eager for the conclusion. With so many Easter eggs and clues, the series creators have once again shown their care for the League of Legends universe.

Now, we can only wait and see how these elements will tie together in Act 3. Will we see the complete evolution of characters like Viktor and Warwick? Or will the series surprise us with more unexpected twists? I’m still rooting for Swain and Darius! What we know is that the quality and attention to detail remain unmatched, and we can’t wait for more episodes!

And you? What are your expectations for Act 3? Do you agree with our predictions?
