Tainted Field, Land, designed by Don Hazeltine first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment and was printed exactly in 13 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
A deck that focuses on black and white mana production and utilizes Swamps would benefit from including Tainted Field in its mana base. While Tainted Field can provide both white and black mana, it does require the presence of a Swamp to activate the dual-color ability. In comparison, there are more efficient dual lands available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Godless Shrine or Isolated Chapel, which come into play untapped and do not have activation requirements. Therefore, Tainted Field may not be the optimal choice for competitive play but could still see use in budget or casual decks.
