Sword of Sinew and Steel, Artifact — equipment, designed by Chris Rahn first released in May, 2019 in the set Modern Horizons and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
This card, Sword of Sinew and Steel, would be beneficial in a deck that aims to control the board by removing planeswalkers and artifacts while also providing a power boost and protection for a key creature. However, there are better options like Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine that offer more versatile protection and additional card advantage or mana advantage, respectively. Sword of Sinew and Steel could see play in specific metagames where planeswalkers and artifacts are prevalent, but in general, it may not be the optimal choice compared to other swords in Magic: the Gathering.

Protection from a color means that the equipped creature can’t be blocked by creatures of that color, can’t be the target of spells of that color or abilities from sources of that color, can’t be enchanted or equipped by Auras or Equipment of that color, and all damage that sources of that color would deal to it is prevented. Nothing other than these events is prevented or illegal.
