This card would benefit a green ramp deck that focuses on casting multiple green spells to generate charge counters quickly and then sacrificing Shrine of Boundless Growth for a large amount of colorless mana. While Shrine of Boundless Growth can be a useful addition to such a deck, there are potentially better options like Gaea's Cradle or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx that provide more consistent and powerful mana generation. However, Shrine of Boundless Growth could still see play in more budget or casual decks looking for additional mana sources.
