Phyrexian Defiler, Creature — phyrexian carrier, designed by DiTerlizzi first released in Feb, 1999 in the set Urza's Legacy and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card can be beneficial in a control or sacrifice-focused deck, as it provides a way to weaken or eliminate opposing creatures. However, there are better options available such as Shriekmaw which not only destroys a creature but also has evasion. Phyrexian Defiler could see play in certain niche strategies, but overall, there are more efficient choices for similar effects in most decks.
