Lotus-Eye Mystics would be a valuable addition to a white-based control or enchantment-themed deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides both a body with prowess that can grow in power with noncreature spells, and the ability to recur enchantments from the graveyard. While there may be more powerful cards with similar effects, such as Auramancer for enchantment recursion, Lotus-Eye Mystics could still see play in decks looking to maximize enchantment synergies and spell triggers.

Any spell you cast that doesn’t have the type creature will cause prowess to trigger. If a spell has multiple types, and one of those types is creature (such as an artifact creature), casting it won’t cause prowess to trigger. Playing a land also won’t cause prowess to trigger.

Prowess goes on the stack on top of the spell that caused it to trigger. It will resolve before that spell.
