About Hanweir, the Writhing Township

Hanweir, the Writhing Township, Legendary creature — eldrazi ooze, designed by Vincent Proce first released in Jul, 2016 in the set Eldritch Moon Promos and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

This card would be a great fit in an aggressive red-green deck looking to swarm the opponent with creatures and deal quick damage. Its ability to create additional attacking creatures when it attacks can overwhelm the opponent and put them on the back foot. While Hanweir, the Writhing Township is a strong card for this strategy, there may be better options depending on the specific deck archetype, such as cards with more immediate impact or better synergy with other cards in the deck. Overall, Hanweir, the Writhing Township can definitely see play in the right deck, but it's important to consider the overall strategy and synergy of the deck before including it.

Rules

07/13/16

If another ability of a source you control triggers when attackers are declared, such as that of Hamlet Captain, you may have it resolve before or after that of Hanweir Garrison. If that ability has targets, it won’t be able to target the tokens.

You choose which opponent or planeswalker controlled by an opponent each token is attacking as it enters the battlefield. It doesn’t have to be the same opponent or planeswalker that the trigger’s source is attacking, and the tokens don’t both have to attack the same player or planeswalker.
