Godhead of Awe, Creature — spirit avatar, designed by Mark Zug first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor. It's a key card in 1 combos.
This card, Godhead of Awe, would be a great addition to a control or tempo deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can significantly weaken your opponent's creatures while providing a strong flying threat. However, there are better options available such as Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, which has a more impactful effect on the board by giving all creatures you control +2/+2 and all creatures your opponents control -2/-2. While Godhead of Awe can be situationally useful, Elesh Norn is generally a more powerful choice and sees more play in competitive decks.

Godhead of Awe’s ability overwrites other effects that set a creature’s power and toughness to specific values only if those effects existed before the Godhead entered the battlefield. It will not overwrite effects that modify power or toughness (whether from a static ability, counters, or a resolved spell or ability), nor will it overwrite effects that set power and toughness which come into existence after the Godhead enters the battlefield. Effects that switch the creature’s power and toughness are always applied after any other power or toughness changing effects, including that of the Godhead.
