About Finest Hour

Finest Hour, Enchantment, designed by Michael Komarck first released in May, 2020 in the set Alara Reborn and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on aggressive, single creature attacks would benefit from including Finest Hour, particularly in a Bant (Green, White, Blue) strategy that emphasizes powerful, lone attackers. While Finest Hour can be a strong addition to such a deck, some may argue that cards like Rafiq of the Many or Bear Umbra could provide more immediate impact or synergy with similar themes, potentially making them better choices. However, Finest Hour could still see play in decks looking to capitalize on exalted triggers and extra combat phases.

Rules

05/01/09

Finest Hour’s second ability has an “intervening ‘if’ clause.” The ability won’t trigger at all unless it’s the first combat phase of the turn.
