Entropic Specter would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand size and resources. While it can be a powerful threat, there are potentially better options like Hypnotic Specter, which has a similar effect but with a more consistent power and toughness. However, Entropic Specter could still see play in certain situations where hand disruption is crucial to the strategy.
