This card, Deepchannel Mentor, would be a great addition to a blue creature-heavy aggro deck looking to push through damage quickly by making its creatures unblockable. However, in a competitive setting, there are better options like Thassa, God of the Sea, which not only provides unblockable but also scrying and indestructibility. Deepchannel Mentor could see play in more casual or budget decks, but for a more optimized strategy, other cards may be preferred.
