About Coral Atoll
Coral Atoll, Land, designed by John Avon first released in Feb, 1997 in the set Visions and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Coral Atoll, would benefit decks that focus on controlling the board and have a high density of Islands in their mana base. Decks that rely on blue mana and can afford the tempo loss of returning an untapped Island to their hand would find this card useful for fixing their mana and generating colorless and blue mana. However, there are better alternatives such as Nimbus Maze or Mystic Sanctuary that provide more consistent mana fixing or utility, so Coral Atoll may not see much play in competitive decks unless they specifically require its unique effect.
