A Boros aggro or midrange deck would benefit from using Assemble the Legion as it provides a steady stream of token creatures that can quickly overwhelm the opponent. However, there are potentially better cards for this purpose, such as Secure the Wastes or Legion's Landing, which offer immediate board presence without the need for setup. Assemble the Legion could see play in slower, more controlling decks looking to go long, but may be too slow for more aggressive strategies.

If Assemble the Legion isn’t on the battlefield when its ability resolves, use the number of muster counters it had when it was last on the battlefield to determine how many Soldier tokens to put onto the battlefield.
