About Anthem of Rakdos

Anthem of Rakdos, Enchantment, designed by Ralph Horsley first released in May, 2020 in the set Dissension.

A deck that focuses on aggressive, fast-paced strategies and doesn't rely heavily on card advantage would benefit from using Anthem of Rakdos, particularly in a Rakdos-themed deck. The card's ability to boost attacking creatures and deal extra damage aligns well with an aggressive playstyle. However, there may be better options depending on the specific deck strategy, such as cards that provide more consistent benefits without the drawback of dealing damage to you. Overall, Anthem of Rakdos could see play in certain aggressive Rakdos decks, but its effectiveness would depend on the overall deck composition and strategy.

Rules

05/01/06

If damage that would be dealt to a player or creature is affected by both Anthem of Rakdos and a damage prevention effect, that player or that creature’s controller chooses the order to apply the effects. In most cases that player will want to prevent damage, then double what’s left.

05/01/06

The first ability triggers once for each creature you attack with. If you attack with three creatures, for example, they’ll each get +2/+0 and you’ll be dealt 3 damage.
