About Amass the Components

Amass the Components, Sorcery, designed by Matt Stewart first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This card, Amass the Components, would be beneficial in a control or combo deck that focuses on card advantage and manipulation. While it provides card draw, the downside of putting a card from your hand on the bottom of your library can be mitigated in decks that can take advantage of this effect, such as decks with graveyard recursion or decks that want specific cards in the graveyard. However, there are better cards like Fact or Fiction or Chemister's Insight that offer similar card draw without the downside, making them potentially more efficient choices for competitive play. Overall, Amass the Components could see play in more casual or budget decks where its drawbacks can be worked around effectively.

Rules

11/17/17

If you cast Amass the Components with fewer than three cards in your library, you’ll draw the remaining cards in your library, put a card from your hand on the bottom of your library, then lose the game for drawing a card from a library with no cards in it the next time state-based actions are performed.
