About Agent of the Fates

Agent of the Fates, Creature — human assassin, designed by Matt Stewart first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros.

A deck that focuses on casting spells that target its own creatures would benefit from using Agent of the Fates, as it triggers its Heroic ability to force opponents to sacrifice creatures. However, there are potentially better options like \\Gonti, Lord of Luxury\\ or \\Ravenous Chupacabra\\ which provide more immediate value or versatility. Agent of the Fates could see play in a deck specifically built around triggering its ability consistently, but it may not be a top-tier choice in competitive play due to its mana cost and vulnerability to removal.

Rules

09/15/13

Heroic abilities will resolve before the spell that caused them to trigger.

09/15/13

Heroic abilities won’t trigger when a copy of a spell is created on the stack or when a spell’s targets are changed to include a creature with a heroic ability.
