About Smokestack

Smokestack, Artifact, designed by Scott Kirschner first released in May, 2020 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

A deck that focuses on resource denial and control would benefit from using Smokestack, as it can slowly choke out opponents by forcing them to sacrifice permanents each turn. While Smokestack can be effective in certain strategies, there are more efficient cards like Braids, Cabal Minion or Tangle Wire that offer similar effects with less setup required, making them potentially better choices for competitive play. However, Smokestack can still be a strong inclusion in a deck that aims to grind out opponents over the long term.
