Grafted Wargear, Artifact — equipment, designed by Alex Horley-Orlandelli first released in Jun, 2004 in the set Fifth Dawn and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's a key card in 2 combos.
This card would benefit aggressive decks looking to boost the power and toughness of their creatures quickly. While Grafted Wargear provides a significant stat boost, its drawback of sacrificing the permanent it becomes unattached from can be a significant downside. Decks that can quickly close out games and don't mind the potential downside may find this card useful, but there are better options available such as Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine, which provide additional benefits and do not have the drawback of sacrificing a permanent.

Grafted Wargear becomes unattached from the creature it’s equipping if you equip it to a new creature, if Grafted Wargear leaves the battlefield, if the equipped creature ceases to be a creature, or if Grafted Wargear ceases to be an Equipment. (It also becomes unattached if the equipped creature leaves the battlefield, but the triggered ability won’t do anything in that case.)

If your Grafted Wargear somehow ends up on an opponent’s creature and it then becomes unattached from that creature, you won’t be able to sacrifice that creature because you don’t control it.
