A deck that focuses on controlling the battlefield and slowing down your opponent's creatures would benefit from using Kinjalli's Sunwing, such as a white control or midrange deck. While Kinjalli's Sunwing is a solid card for its mana cost, there are potentially better options like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben or Archangel of Tithes that offer additional disruptive effects. However, Kinjalli's Sunwing can still be a valuable addition to the deck, especially if flying creatures are prevalent in the metagame.

If a creature an opponent controls enters the battlefield at the same time that Kinjalli’s Sunwing enters the battlefield under your control, Kinjalli’s Sunwing’s effect doesn’t apply to your opponent’s creature.
