While there may be more versatile or powerful options available, such as cards that offer more permanent removal or additional benefits, Blitz Leech could still find a place in certain sideboard strategies against decks reliant on +1/+1 counters or specific creatures. Its Flash ability also adds an element of surprise and flexibility to your plays, making it a situational but potentially impactful inclusion in the right deck.

Blitz Leech’s ability removes all counters from the target creature before state-based actions are checked to see if that creature should die. For example, a 2/2 creature with a flying counter on it will lose that counter while it’s a 0/0 creature before it dies.
