Grand Theft Auto 6 could be the longest game in the franchise. Rob Nelson of Rockstar Games revealed that it took him around 80 hours to complete his own playthrough, although he did not stick solely to the main missions.During his playthrough, Nelson also stepped away from the campaign to complete optional objectives with narrative consequences. As a result, the time required to follow only the central storyline may be somewhat shorter. Even so, the length suggests that GTA 6 will comfortably surpass the series' previous installments.GTA: San Andreas, GTA 4 and GTA 5 typically take between 30 and 40 hours to complete on average. The new game therefore significantly extends that playtime, especially with all the activities scattered throughout its open world.Nelson also encouraged players not to rush through the game. In his view, the experience can include time spent away from missions, such as exploring the map, interacting with other people, working out, committing robberies and making money. The project's scale is so immense that, according to statements from people involved at Rockstar Games, some members of the team still do not fully know everything that has been included in the game. With so many side activities, GTA 6 could offer hundreds of hours of gameplay for those who decide to explore every possibility.Support for GTA Online is expected to launch in 2027, extending players' time in the game's universe even further after the conclusion of Jason and Lucia's story.Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
