Logan Paul

Logan Paul is an American internet personality, professional wrestler, entrepreneur, and boxer who first became widely known through short videos on Vine. Born on April 1, 1995, in Westlake, Ohio, Paul built a large following on the platform before Vine shut down in 2017. He then moved aggressively into YouTube, where his daily vlogs, stunts, and highly publicized personal life attracted millions of subscribers and generated substantial advertising revenue.

Paul expanded into traditional entertainment with appearances in films and television programs, including the 2017 comedy The Thinning, a YouTube Red production in which he played Blake Redding. He also appeared in the sequel, The Thinning: New World Order. His online career has nevertheless been shaped by repeated controversies. In December 2017, he uploaded a video filmed in Japan’s Aokigahara forest that included footage of a deceased person. After intense criticism, he removed the video and apologized. YouTube temporarily removed him from its preferred advertising program, and the incident became a major turning point in discussions about influencer responsibility.

Paul later entered professional boxing. In 2018, he fought fellow YouTube creator KSI in an amateur bout that ended in a majority draw. Their 2019 rematch was a professional contest, which KSI won by split decision. Paul subsequently fought former mixed martial artist Ben Askren in 2021 and competed against former world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition that did not produce an official winner.

In 2022, Paul and British rapper KSI launched PRIME, a beverage brand whose products quickly became prominent in online marketing and retail. The company’s success made Paul a major figure in influencer-led consumer businesses, although PRIME has also faced scrutiny over its highly caffeinated energy drink and marketing aimed at young audiences.

Paul joined WWE as an occasional performer before signing with the company in 2022. His athletic ability, stunt-oriented presentation, and willingness to embrace villainous crowd reactions helped him become a prominent WWE attraction. He won the United States Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in November 2023, defeating Rey Mysterio. He later defended the title against opponents including Kevin Owens and Randy Orton before losing it to LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024.
