About Venerable Monk

Venerable Monk, Creature — human monk cleric, designed by D. Alexander Gregory first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 13 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a white-based lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, where gaining life is a key strategy. While Venerable Monk provides a small life gain benefit upon entering the battlefield, there are more powerful cards like Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant that offer similar effects with additional benefits. Overall, Venerable Monk could see play in casual or budget decks, but in more competitive settings, there are stronger options available.
