About Temporal Fissure

Temporal Fissure, Sorcery, designed by Edward P. Beard, Jr. first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

This card, Temporal Fissure, would benefit decks that focus on controlling the board by returning key permanents to their owner's hand, disrupting their opponent's strategy. However, there are better options available such as Cyclonic Rift, which not only returns a permanent to its owner's hand but can also be overloaded to hit all opponents' nonland permanents. In most cases, Cyclonic Rift would be a more versatile and powerful choice, making Temporal Fissure less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.

Rules

06/07/13

A copy of a spell can be countered like any other spell, but it must be countered individually. Countering a spell with storm won’t affect the copies.

06/07/13

The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren’t cast and won’t be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.

06/07/13

You may choose new targets for any of the copies. You can choose differently for each copy.
