About Suq'Ata Assassin

Suq'Ata Assassin, Creature — human assassin, designed by Gary Gianni first released in Feb, 1997 in the set Visions.

A deck focused on aggressive strategies and winning quickly would benefit from including Suq'Ata Assassin, as it applies pressure on the opponent by dealing damage and potentially causing them to accumulate poison counters. However, there are more efficient and powerful cards available in Magic: the Gathering that can achieve similar effects more reliably, such as Phyrexian Crusader or Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, making Suq'Ata Assassin less likely to see play in competitive decks.

Rules

04/15/13

An ability that triggers when something “attacks and isn’t blocked” triggers in the declare blockers step after blockers are declared if (1) that creature is attacking and (2) no creatures are declared to block it. It will trigger even if that creature was put onto the battlefield attacking rather than having been declared as an attacker in the declare attackers step.
