About Silence

Silence, Instant, designed by Wayne Reynolds first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic 2010 and was printed exactly in 11 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Commander and Brawl. It's a key card in 3 combos.

Silence is a powerful card that can be beneficial in a control deck looking to disrupt their opponent's game plan. While Silence can shut down an opponent's ability to cast spells for a turn, there are more versatile options like Teferi, Time Raveler or Grand Abolisher that offer similar effects with added benefits. Silence could see play in specific metagames where instant speed spells are prevalent, but overall, it may not be the most optimal choice compared to other options available.
