Setessan Griffin would be a valuable addition to a Selesnya or Bant midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a flying threat that can also grow in size with its activated ability. However, in a competitive environment, there are better options available such as Lyra Dawnbringer or Shalai, Voice of Plenty which offer more impactful abilities and resilience. Setessan Griffin may struggle to see play in top-tier decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.

If Setessan Griffin’s ability is activated by one player, then another player gains control of it during the same turn, the second player can’t activate its ability that turn.
