Sangrophage, Creature — zombie, designed by Pete Venters first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and doesn't mind paying life for advantages could benefit from using Sangrophage. However, there are better cards with similar effects that provide more value or have lower costs, such as Vampire Lacerator or Sarcomancy. Sangrophage may not see much play in competitive decks due to its upkeep cost and limited impact compared to other options available.

You choose whether or not to pay 2 life as the triggered ability resolves. You can pay 2 life even if Sangrophage is already tapped. (Doing so won’t cause Sangrophage to become untapped, however.)
