Rust Tick, Artifact creature — insect, designed by Carl Critchlow first released in May, 2020 in the set Scars of Mirrodin.
This card, Rust Tick, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's artifacts. While it can be useful in certain situations, there are better options available such as Karn, the Great Creator or Damping Matrix which provide more versatile and powerful artifact disruption abilities. Rust Tick may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.

If you control both Rust Tick and the affected artifact, that artifact won’t untap during the untap step in which you choose to untap Rust Tick. (It will untap during your next one.)
01/01/11
Rust Tick doesn’t track the artifact’s controller. If the affected artifact changes controllers, Rust Tick will prevent it from being untapped during its new controller’s untap step.

You may target a tapped artifact with Rust Tick’s activated ability.
