A deck that focuses on manipulating time counters, such as a suspend-themed deck, would benefit from including Rift Elemental. However, for more competitive play, cards like Aether Vial or Goblin Guide may offer more immediate value and impact on the game. While Rift Elemental can be a fun and flavorful addition to certain decks, its situational nature may limit its overall effectiveness in more competitive environments.
