Pharika's Chosen would be a strong addition to a black-based control or midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, as its deathtouch ability can effectively take down larger threats with minimal risk. However, there are better options for deathtouch creatures in the format, such as Vampire Nighthawk or Gifted Aetherborn, which offer additional abilities like flying or lifelink. While Pharika's Chosen may not be a top-tier choice, it could still see play in certain budget or thematic decks.
