About Minion Reflector

Minion Reflector, Artifact, designed by Mark Tedin first released in Oct, 2008 in the set Shards of Alara. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's a key card in 4 combos.

This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on generating a lot of nontoken creatures quickly, such as a token or creature swarm deck. While Minion Reflector offers a unique ability to create hasty token copies of creatures, it may not be as efficient as other cards like Mimic Vat or Mirrorpool, which provide similar effects with additional benefits. However, in the right deck, Minion Reflector could still see play as a fun and flavorful addition for creating temporary copies of powerful creatures.

As the token is created, it checks the printed values of the creature it’s copying, as well as any copy effects that have been applied to it. It won’t copy counters on the creature, nor will it copy other effects that have changed the creature’s power, toughness, types, color, and so on.

If the creature that caused Minion Reflector’s ability to trigger has already left the battlefield by the time the ability resolves, you can still pay . If you do, you’ll still put a token onto the battlefield. That token has the copiable values of the characteristics of that nontoken creature as it last existed on the battlefield.
