Lurking Jackals, Enchantment, designed by Greg Staples first released in Jun, 1999 in the set Urza's Destiny.
A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and aims to quickly reduce the opponent's life total would benefit from using Lurking Jackals. However, there are better cards with similar effects, such as Nighthawk Scavenger, which offers a more consistent and impactful threat. Lurking Jackals may struggle to see play in competitive decks due to its conditional nature and the availability of stronger options in the format.

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

Once it becomes a creature, it will not change back into an enchantment if your opponent’s life total goes back above 10.
