About Knight of Old Benalia

Knight of Old Benalia, Creature — human knight, designed by Dan Murayama Scott first released in May, 2020 in the set Modern Horizons and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

The Knight of Old Benalia would be a great addition to a white weenie or aggro deck that focuses on swarming the board with small creatures and overwhelming the opponent quickly. While it provides a temporary boost to other creatures upon entering the battlefield, its suspend ability allows for a powerful creature with haste to come into play without paying its mana cost, making it a solid choice for aggressive strategies. However, in more competitive settings, there may be better options available such as History of Benalia, which provides a more consistent and impactful boost to your board presence over multiple turns.

Rules

06/14/19

A creature cast using suspend will enter the battlefield with haste. It will have haste until another player gains control of it (or, in some rare cases, gains control of the creature spell).

06/14/19

Exiling a card with suspend isn’t casting that card. This action doesn’t use the stack and can’t be responded to.

06/14/19

The last ability of Knight of Old Benalia affects only creatures you control at the time it resolves. Creatures you begin to control later in the turn won’t get +1/+1.
