A deck focused on gaining life and draining opponents would benefit from including Indulging Patrician in their strategy, especially in a Orzhov (White-Black) lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering. While Indulging Patrician offers a solid combination of flying, lifelink, and a potentially powerful end-step ability, there are better options available such as Serra Ascendant or Archangel of Thune which can have a more immediate impact on the game. However, if the deck's strategy heavily relies on lifegain synergy, Indulging Patrician could still see play as a valuable addition to the deck.
