The Empyrial Archangel would be beneficial in a control or defensive deck that aims to protect the player while having a powerful flying creature on the battlefield. However, there are better options like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, which provides indestructibility to all your permanents and is more difficult to deal with. While Empyrial Archangel can be useful in certain situations, it may not see as much play compared to other angel creatures with more impactful abilities.
