About Divine Gambit

Divine Gambit, Sorcery, designed by Joe Slucher first released in Jan, 2021 in the set Kaldheim and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.

This card, Divine Gambit, could be beneficial in a control or tempo deck looking to disrupt the opponent's board state by removing a key threat. However, the downside of allowing the opponent to put a permanent card from their hand onto the battlefield may outweigh the benefits. Cards like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares offer more efficient removal options without giving the opponent an advantage, making them better choices in most situations. Overall, Divine Gambit may not see much play in competitive decks due to its drawback.

Rules

02/05/21

A permanent card is an artifact, creature, enchantment, land, or planeswalker card.

02/05/21

If the player chooses to put a double-faced card onto the battlefield, it enters with its front face up. They may do this only if the front face of the card is a permanent card.
