Chartooth Cougar, Creature — cat beast, designed by Tony Szczudlo first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 10 different ways.
Chartooth Cougar could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck that focuses on quickly dealing damage to the opponent. The ability to boost its power temporarily can be useful for finishing off opponents or getting past blockers. However, there are likely better options available in terms of efficiency and power level, such as Lightning Bolt or Goblin Guide, which provide more immediate impact and consistent damage output. Overall, Chartooth Cougar may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to stronger alternatives available.

Mountaincycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with Mountaincycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.

Unlike the normal cycling ability, Mountaincycling doesn’t allow you to draw a card. Instead, it lets you search your library for a Mountain card. After you find a Mountain card in your library, you reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.
