Auriok Champion would be a great addition to a white-based aggro or midrange deck looking to gain incremental life advantage and protect against black and red removal. While it is a solid choice for decks facing those colors, it may not be as impactful against other color combinations. Other cards like Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant could provide similar life gain benefits, but Auriok Champion's protection from black and red gives it a unique edge in certain matchups, making it a viable option depending on the metagame.
