About Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to Ashes, Sorcery, designed by Drew Tucker first released in Aug, 1994 in the set The Dark and was printed exactly in 9 different ways.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board and removing threats would benefit from using Ashes to Ashes, as it efficiently deals with two nonartifact creatures at the cost of 5 damage to you. However, there are better options available such as Damnation or Toxic Deluge which provide board wipes without the drawback of self-damage, making them more versatile and efficient choices. Ashes to Ashes could see situational play in specific metas where exiling creatures is crucial, but overall, it may not be the best choice for most decks.

Rules

10/01/09

If one of the targeted creatures is an illegal target by the time Ashes to Ashes resolves, it still exiles the other one and deals 5 damage to you.
