The Batman Part II has resumed production after a brief pause caused by a family matter involving director Matt Reeves. Robert Pattinson, who plays Bruce Wayne in the film, confirmed that he will return to work in a few days.

“I think they’re already in production. And I start in a few days,” the actor said in a new interview.

Filming was underway in London before the interruption. To help Reeves finish the job, Steven Soderbergh joined the production after reaching out to the director and offering his services. Pattinson praised the filmmaker’s initiative and highlighted his involvement in the process.

“I’m so happy that he came to help Matt. It’s incredibly generous of him — and he’s doing it in the kindest way. It’s completely selfless.”

According to Pattinson, Reeves had already put a great deal of work into the script, which was reportedly nearing completion. Soderbergh’s role includes working with the director to take the material through the editing stage.

In a statement released during the pause, DC said Soderbergh would complete the final weeks of principal photography on The Batman Part II. The studio also said the two directors would work alongside the cast and crew to fulfill Reeves’ vision for the film.

Robert Pattinson returns as Batman, Andy Serkis reprises his role as Alfred and Colin Farrell returns as the Penguin. The cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Jayme Lawson, Charles Dance, Gil Perez-Abraham and Sebastian Koch.

The Batman Part II is scheduled to open on February 18, 2028.

According to Deadline.
