VisionQuest premieres on October 14 on Disney+, featuring the longest episodes ever produced for a Marvel Cinematic Universe series made for streaming. The season will have eight episodes, none of them shorter than 45 minutes.

The longest episodes are reserved for the end of the story. The seventh episode will run for 1 hour and 2 minutes, while the eighth will last 1 hour and 8 minutes. That makes both episodes longer than Hawkeye’s 58-minute finale and, according to the information released, the longest episodes of an MCU streaming series.

Together, the final two episodes will run for 2 hours and 10 minutes, comparable to the length of a feature film. VisionQuest will also have a two-episode premiere, but the schedule for the remaining episodes has not yet been detailed.

The series follows White Vision, played by Paul Bettany, after he recovers his memories and leaves Westview at the end of WandaVision. In hiding and searching for a new purpose, the character consults the various artificial intelligences embedded in his programming.

The story paves the way for the return of J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y. and E.D.I.T.H. The main reunion, however, will be with Ultron, once again played by James Spader.

Vision’s situation changes when a bounty is placed on his capture. During his escape, he joins Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be the reincarnation of Tommy, his son known in the comics as Célere.

The cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy. VisionQuest premieres on October 14 on Disney+.
